A practice dashboard built around collections.
For medical, dental, and professional practices, the work is only worth what you collect. This sample dashboard follows production, collections, and provider productivity, so you can see where the practice is strong and where money is slipping away.
Sample dashboard
From the appointment book to the bank deposit.
Agarita Family Dental is a fictional business and every number above is made up. Your dashboard is built from your own books, and only you and our team see it.
Reading the dashboard
What each number tells you.
Net production and collections
Net production is the work you did, after insurance write-offs; collections is the money that arrived. Side by side, they show whether billing is keeping up with a busy schedule.
Collection rate
Collections as a share of net production, meaning production after insurance write-offs. The widely cited benchmark is 98% or higher. Each point lost is real money: on $290,000 a month, one point is about $35,000 a year.
Production per provider hour
How much each hour of provider time produces. It shows how the schedule, the mix of procedures, and the support team affect each provider's output.
Schedule utilization
Booked time as a share of available time. Open chairs and cancellations that aren't filled are the most expensive empty space in the practice.
AR days and aging
How long it takes to get paid, and how much is more than 90 days old. Old balances are the hardest to collect, so we watch them closely.
Overhead
Rent, staff, supplies, and lab fees as a share of collections. It tells you whether growth is reaching the bottom line or being absorbed by costs.

What practice owners ask about the dashboard.
Is this real client data?
No. Agarita Family Dental is a fictional practice and every number on this page is made up. Your dashboard is built from your own books, and only you and our team see it.
What is a good collection rate for a medical or dental practice?
The widely cited benchmark is 98% or more of net production, meaning production after insurance write-offs. If yours is lower, the gap is usually in claim follow-up, patient balances, or write-offs, and the dashboard shows which.
Do you work with practices other than dental?
Yes. The same approach works for medical clinics, physical therapy, chiropractic, and veterinary practices, and for law, engineering, and accounting firms that bill by the hour. We fit the numbers to how you bill.
The next step

The first consultation is free. Bring your last few months of numbers and we'll show you what your dashboard would track and what it would tell you.
